Years after the tragedy that scarred Wind River, the frozen land is broken once more by a series of disappearances stretching across reservation borders. The silence is familiar—but heavier, colder, and far more dangerous.
Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) returns older, weathered by grief and memory. He never truly left this place, and now every track in the snow feels personal. The terrain remains unforgiving, but the emotional cost of walking it has deepened with time.

Presiding over the case is Marshal Thomas Keene (Tom Selleck), a veteran lawman whose steady authority hides decades of compromise. His belief in order is tested as he confronts whether that order has ever protected the people of Wind River.
At the community’s core stands Ben Shoyo (Gil Birmingham), a tribal officer and father driven by responsibility rather than protocol. His search for truth challenges every outside solution that arrives too late—and leaves too soon.
