Deal Or No Deal fans are livid at the seemingly ‘unfair treatment’ of one contestant on the ITV show.

Contestants put their lives on hold to go on the show, living in a H๏τel and acting as box openers until they are chosen to join host Stephen Mulhern and face the banker.

One player, Brian, has become a favourite among fans, who have fallen in love with his bubbly personality and seemingly endless supply of Hawaiian shirts.

However, they feel he is being treated unfairly as he has not been picked to face the banker since he first appeared on the season when it launched on October 28. 

Brian has patiently waited for his chance, serving as a box opener for a whopping 50 shows.

Worse still, each time a box opener is picked they are replaced with a new person and many of these have already been chosen to face the banker before Brian.

Fans feel this is unfair as Brian has waited longer than anyone else to have his turn, all whilst putting a pause on his life outside of the game show.

On social media site X, one said: ‘At this point I genuinely feel for Brian. Players come and go and Brian still there. Has he been on since the 1st episode 1st series?’

‘Poor Brian is never going to get the chance to play is he?’, another wrote.

A third posted: ‘Brian has been there since the first series, yet people have been picked who have only been there for a few weeks. Poor Brian must be fed up of waiting so long.’

‘Seriously when is it going to be Brian’s time? I swear he has been there since series 1 and still not getting his opportunity,’ yet another moaned.

Others joked about him being a baby when he first came on the show and throwing their TVs away if he isn’t picked soon.

Thankfully, Brian will get his turn this Friday after eagle-eyed fans spotted his name on their TV guide.

Meanwhile, others were annoyed at the show’s announcer for ruining the surprise of the wheel spin that decides who will be chosen.

During the opening commentary ahead of the episode, the name of the player is revealed, sparking a flurry of angry fans to pipe up. 

One fumed: ‘Once again @ITV… the announcer telling us who’s going to be playing #DealOrNoDeal … what is the point of us watching the wheel spin the names when we already know?’

Another said: ‘Stop frigging telling us before hand who’s going to be playing.’
