Glastonbury fans are convinced Father John Misty will perform on The Park Stage during next year’s festival.
Eagle-eyed music lovers spotted a Glasto-sized hole in Father John Misty’s UK and Ireland 2025 tour and are certain he will be announced for the five-day festival.
The former Fleet Foxes drummer, 43, whose real name is Josh Tillman, recently released his critically acclaimed album Mahashmashana and is promoting it with 10 dates in June and August.
However, there are no gigs pencilled for June 28 or June 29, which are the same dates as the Glastonbury Festival.
Writing in a fan forum on Reddit, one person wrote: ‘Surely he’s nailed on? Would love to see him play The Park!’; ‘He’s played before so I don’t see why not.’; ‘The Park would be an ideal venue. I expect they will have him at End of The Road.’
Josh recently spoke about his new record during an interview with NPR and revealed why he chose to name his record after the Sanskrit word.

He said: ‘It means the great cremation pit, where the universe goes to die after its cycle of birth and death.’
‘And despite the lofty тιтle, the concerns are pretty terrestrial in my work. And I just liked the contrast of such a grand concept mapped on to what I’m usually singing about.’
He continued: ‘As I am rounding the corner of 40 – I don’t know – there’s just intimations of impermanence that are creeping over the horizon.’
‘It’s not like an endless vista of possibility anymore. And at least for right now, conceptually, it’s just – it’s a little bit of, like, an exciting proposition.’
The eight-track album features beautiful ballads, hypnotic psychedelia, and catchy rock hooks.
It follows highly-rated LPs God’s Favourite Customer, Pure Comedy, and I Love You, Honey Bear.
The Glastonbury line-up so far hasn’t been confirmed – despite the fact that tickets for the 2025 event sold out in minutes.
The five-day festival takes place in June at Somerset’s Worth Farm and draws in around 200,000 music fans each year to watch some of the world’s biggest musicians perform.

The official Glastonbury tickets went on sale on November 14 and November 17.
The stakes were even higher than usual, as 2026 will be a fallow year, meaning the festival will not go ahead.
The event periodically takes a fallow year roughly every five years to allow the farmland on which it takes place to fully recover.
Harry Styles is also reportedly being eyed by Glastonbury bosses to headline next year’s festival, as he makes a sensational return to live music.
The former One Direction star, 30, shocked fans back in July when he appeared on stage as a guest at Stevie Nicks’ BST performance in Hyde Park.
And now The Sun has revealed he has been approached by festival organiser Emily Eavis about headlining the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm.
A source told the publication: ‘Harry would be the perfect Glastonbury headliner and Emily has long wanted him on stage at Worthy Farm, but the dates have never quite worked out.’

Harry was previously busy completing his 173-date Love on Tour show and the world tour began in September 2021 and ended in July 2023, spanning 22 months, and Harry since has receded from the limelight.
However, it seems he could now have a free June for Glastonbury as he continues to work on his fourth album.
They added: ‘Harry would be an incredible act to watch on the Pyramid Stage. Glastonbury has a fallow year in 2026, so booking Harry for next year would be perfect.’
‘It is something the team at Glastonbury are pushing for. Whether that dream will come true, however, is still to be decided by Harry’s team.’
