A well known Traitors star is set to join the cast of another beloved soap just in time for their Christmas special.
The former BBC show contestant has starred in Hollyoaks and Channel 4 comedy Big Boys since her time on the show and is now set to join the cast of Call The Midwife.
Maddy Smedley, who appeared on screen across the nation in the first series of The Traitors, is set to guest star as a pregnant, poverty-stricken mother whose family are evicted from their home in the historical drama.
In the emotional plot, she, her husband and three kids are made homeless just as Poplar is gripped by Hong Kong flu, according to the Mirror.
The reality star’s new role as the worried mother-to-be Dilys Shaughnessy means she will be watched by the largest audience of her career.
Last year the BBC1 drama was watched by 7.6million viewers across the week from Christmas Day and this year could well see similar viewing figures.
